Volunteers are needed Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 am to help plant trees at Epiphany Episcopal Church and Community Center. Epiphany’s property is located in the Gunpowder Watershed, which feeds the Loch Raven Reservoir, the main source of drinking water for the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Many churches and other land owners are taking action to protect our water supply by planting trees that capture stormwater runoff pollution and prevent contamination of our waterways. Epiphany is the recipient of a grant from the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy that will be supplying the tress, equipment and expertise needed. All we need to add is you and other volunteers to plant the trees that will help us do our part to protect our own drinking water.
