Jesus washed feet, so we wash cars. “Love one another as I have loved you,” Jesus said to his disciples as he washed their feet the night before he was crucified. Our feet are no longer our primary mode of transportation, our cars are. So to show the love that Jesus did on the first Maundy Thursday, area youth will freely wash your car this Maundy Thursday.

Epiphany will be hosting an Organ Recital featuring both Henry Lowe, organist emeritus of Church of the Redeemer, and Epiphany’s own Mary Hamlin-Spencer. Featured works are by J.S. Bach, Vincent Lubeck, Samuel Wesley, Horatio Parker, and Adolf Hesse on Epiphany’s 2-manual tracker-action pipe organ. A reception will follow in the Common Room. Come on out to support Epiphany’s music program & bring a friend!
All are welcome to come and worship together to celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas Day at Epiphany at 10 a.m.!
4 p.m. – Childrens’ Pageant with Holy Communion 9 p.m. – Prelude of carols with choir and harp 9:30 p.m. – Festive Christmas Eve service with Holy Communion
Once a month, adults are welcome to come eat pizza, watch a movie, and engage in thoughtful discussion afterwards from a faith based perspective. This fall, movies include The Greatest Showman and Hidden Figures, with more movie titles to be announced for November and December! Pizza is served at 6 p.m. and things are definitely wrapped up by 9:30 p.m. at the latest (end time depends on movie length). Bring your friends and neighbors for this fun night out!
Come on out to enjoy lively blue grass and folk music! Ken and Brad Kolodner will play the hammered dulcimer and fiddle while folks share dinner together, all while raising funds for Epiphany’s music program. Families with children of any age are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Epiphany’s Reverse Raffle is a time for people to come together and enjoy great food, wonderful company, and support a great cause. No ticket purchase is required to attend, but knowing you have a chance to win one or more of the 13 prizes is an added bonus! There will be on-site babysitting offered for kids, so the whole family can come for a fun evening out!
Community Dinner is a free event open to anyone who wants to eat dinner! Each week on Wednesday nights, folks gather for a meal and time spent with their neighbors — both familiar faces and new ones! You are invited. Share the event! There is always a special activity for kids, too.
Epiphany is hosting a back-to-school “fair” of sorts. If you or someone you know might be interested in any of the following, please mark your calendars and come! Each year, Epiphany worships on its labyrinth for the 10 a.m. service in the summer time. Our next door neighbors graciously offer up their backyard pool for a party to follow this service, too! All are invited to come to any part of the day that they would like. The pool party includes lunch, and folks are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to accompany the burgers and hot dogs provided! On Sunday, June 10, Epiphany will only have one service, held at 10 a.m. that day because the Rt. Rev. Chilton R. Knudsen, Assistant Bishop of Maryland, will visit Epiphany! In addition to spending time with folks during coffee hour, preaching, and presiding, Bishop Chilton will meet with those being confirmed, received, and reaffirming their baptismal vows at 9 a.m., and meet with the vestry after coffee hour.
